What's Southwold like as a 21st Century resort?

Few small towns can offer the range of activities that Southwold supports for residents and visitors. Today there are four museums, a well-stocked library, the Electric Picture Palace and the Summer Theatre as well as a thriving restaurant and pub scene, plus sailing, fishing, bowls, cricket, football and rugby. The Arts Circle, Women’s Institute, Dickens Fellowship, Classical Music and Jazz Appreciation Societies all meet regularly. Visit the working harbour and don’t forget a bracing walk along the new Pier of which we are justifiably proud.
